Post subject:  22HP Predator on JB SD Gear and Prop help

I am new to surface drives, and recently bought a used JB mud motor with a 15 hp Lifan and a 9x7 prop. I haven't pulled the lower to count the teeth on the bottom sprocket, but the ratio is roughly 1.1:1. The 9x7 pushes the baot about 16 mph with me, and about 10 MPH with 2 people and gear. I need more speed and had issues with the 15 HP, so I replaced it with a 22HP predator. The 9x7 (which is fairly worn) cavitates with the 22hp. I have ordered a Hill Marine 11x10 SD prop in hopes to resolve this.

My question is this:

With the stock 22HP, 1.1:1 ratio, and 11x10 am I likely to have to lower the gearing in order to turn the necessary RPM? If so, what ratio should I try?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
