Pissed to see that my LU oil has gone chocolate milk again. Season starts this weekend for us out west. Hoping to get some new seals in the motor before then. Can anyone provide the P/N for the seals so i can see if I can find them local? Motor's got a 7/8" prop shaft.

I had on oil filled lower on my 07. You should be getting milky oil that quick. It will develop air bubbles and look different from running it, but not milky. I'm willing to bet you have the old 2 seal prop nut. I actually contacted PD and they swapped mine out to the newer style 3 seal prop nut for oil filled lowers for nothing, free of charge. Never had an issue after that.

if I am understanding you correctly, the fitting to fill the lower unit is the same as a outboard motor lower unit. I just use an outboard lower unit pump/fitting to fill my pd lower unit when I had one. I don't know the exact thread size.

Shooter, its the same prop nut only machined deeper to hold 3 seals. If you have a local machine shop, simply have them do it. Thats if it will be a while getting one from PD. And the seals are orientated a certain way. I don't quite remember which way though.

they used to have u send in your nut with the 2 seals and they would send you the one with 3 seals in it. been a while since I did this.

They still do, just got my 3 seal nut from PD, sent my original back for just the price of the 3 seals.
Good deal.
