| Post subject: | Reverse Clutch/Brake Replacement Gatortail |
Running down the river the other day and heard a terrible noise. Long story short, my gatortail is stuck in reverse. The prongs on the rear clutch are all broken and I found metal shavings in the cover. What should I look for when pulling the clutch as far as damage is concerned? Any help would be great. Model is 2016 electric reverse 37 |

Sounds like you can already see the issue. Remove the rear clutch and inspect it. Also check trans fluid for excessive metal while u are in there. Put eyes on front clutch also. Hopefully problem is only in rear clutch, this would keep the job not to hard |

10-4. I'm guessing the only way to inspect the trans fluid is through the bleeder on the drum. I planned on changing it out while I'm in there anyways. I'm hoping the front is still good as it engages and shuts the engine down when I flip the switch. |
