So I wanted a nice day on the lake to see how they differed. It wasn't super calm... 10mph winds, 4" ripple with the occasional 1ft rogue waves.... nothing terrible. 2.5 of us in the boat with an assortment of fishing gear and 60q cooler. I did one run with the wind in my face then ran back with the tailwind with both props My findings: 2 Blade - ran 26.2 into the wind, 28.5 wind at my back 4400 Rpm seems to be the spot where prop bite stops. Fat Blade - ran 25.4mph into the wind, 28.1 wind at my back. 4450 Rpm again... seems to be where the bite stops. So, the stock exhaust on these are loud. Bit louder than my ears enjoyed so I swapped to the BPS Q and a K&N when I did my first service at 10hrs. Much quieter on the ears. More manageable. And my passengers agreed. As expected, fat blade got on step immediately, where the 2 blade slipped ever so slightly, but I definitely could tell the difference. I'd almost argue my motor likes the Fat Blade better than the 2 Blade. Both have their good qualities. I'm still learning how this thing performs before I give the full review on it. We got a few pike today! So when not messing around with the motor, these two guys put on a nice fight for my friend - you can see the excitement and happiness in his facial expressions. Good times bro. What 2 blade are you running besides the fat blade? Is it a big blade or the merc 2 blade? |

I think that’s the merc 2. That’s what they have been sending out lately with their motors |
