Post Pro-drive prop
What is the best way to determine the condition of your prop? I know kinda dumb question but I have several that I'm looking over. I just took delivery of a new one as well & it doesn't look a bunch different from 1 I already have. They certainly aren't like my outboards for visual inspection or at least for me. '

Take your new one and measure from end to end and blade width. Compare that to your other props to see how worn they are. Also, if the cup is starting to flatten out, it’s time to get them cupped. Also, I’m sure they need to be sharpened. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me bro and I can try and help you out

it don't take much to wear out a prop. a couple beers and a sand bar and it's a $350 learning curve. lol

Hey Wchauvin. What prop would you recommend. 1860 Phowler, gen3 Pd, has the so called E5 build from PD.
I sent y’all my original 3 blade several years ago but I can’t remember what y’all did to it. What ever it was it made a huge difference in speed, vibration, and hole shot. Does a 14p double cup sound about right.
I usually stay around 4250-4300 rpm.

Yep, I burned one last night in about 3 minutes, 11.5" after a sand bar with river pebbles. After that, I'm running back to the ramp 3/4 throttle, trimmed down like and outboard, turning 4900rpm and only running 22mph...it's obvious when they're BURNT hahaha

14 pitch depending on your gear ratio. I’f you aren’t turning 2-1 I would run a 13 with heavy cupping and sharpened blades so that you don’t sacrifice load carrying ability and holeshot

^ correct. I assumed that he was talking about a stock prop, if it is pitched, it will be roughly 1/8th of an inch of diameter tip to tip per inch of pitch added. Because people pitch differently and measure differently, it could be more of 1/16th or 1/8th, but somewhere in that area

Do any of the prop shops sell stock Prodrive props (Gen 2) that have been properly balanced?

We have some from time to time and may have some in stock if you would like me to check tomorrow bro. No prop out the box will be perfectly balanced, some are close, but almost all have to be adjusted
