Hi everybody. What is the best prop for a shallow rocky river? Just took my new gtr 37 out for the first time. The river ate it up. Looking for strength in the prop when I have to get through the gravel. Went from a longtail to the gtr and I am very impressed. 28mph with 2 guys 200lbs and a 75lb dog. Also, Is a new muffler worth it? Thanks |

Pretty much any prop is going to get eaten up by gravel. The only one off the top of my head that may handle it better is a hammer but a stock 37 without getting heads or cam will likely struggle and lug the engine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Blue is right. A fat blade from gatortail is another option, but it has been my experience that the 37 can’t turn it stock, since it is basically a hammer copy. Those props would hold up better than other options, but you will need some performance work to turn them in the right power-band |

Not sure which MM you have, but this is what we run on our rivers around here. It goes on your skeg, and is slightly the lower than the prop. |

Aircraft prop would be perfect for a rocky river... |
