Post Thinking my prop is burnt
All of a sudden my motor isn’t getting the RPM’s it was? My prop does look a little warn but not terrible. Could this be the issue or could there be another issue? I’m running a 17 X 54 Pro-Drive boat with a 40 HP. What y’all think??

Are you getting more or less RPMs? More wear should mean increased RPMs.

All of a sudden as in on same trip or "last time was fine, this time not" and what the difference in rpm and speed? Could be many things but need more information.

Getting less RPM and less speed. The only reason I say it’s something with the prop is it looks like it’s worn down pretty good. But the lower RPM’s is what throwing me off.

Less prop equals more rpm’s
Sounds to me like leaking valves

How many hours on the motor?

Yep, my bet the valves are leaking, typically a Prodrive prop picks up a tad more speed with a little wear and then starts to fall off. But with any prop, the more wear, the more rpm because you have less grip.

Definitely not the prop this morning on the way back from the duck lease I could barely get the motor to run more the idle speed and it was running terrible. So it’s going to the Prodrive shop tomorrow.
