I just bought a Gtr 37 from delta. I’ve probably only put about 10 hrs on the motor, most of which were on a shallow rocky river. I was getting good speeds 29 with me and a dog when the motor was new. With 3 guys and a dog I have trouble getting my boat on plane. I suspect that my prop got worn down when the river was low and I was breaking my motor in. I often get Rpms around 4500 with very little speed. My boat is a 1748 uncle J with 2 batteries. Does it sound like the prop is the issue? Secondly, what prop do we think would best suit my boat? Getting on plane quickly and riding shallow are my top priorities. Thanks |

Sounds like it very well could be your prop. Once the leading edge goes, you will get less torque and higher RPMs so you lose load carrying ability and speed. Measure it and let us know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Get ready to invest in props on a rock river bottom. You can burn the prop in 1 minute on sand and river rock to the point of it becoming a paper weight. Before the internet, the village idiots stayed in their villages. |
