Looking at at 2014 MB 23hp for sale and the cover over the belt housing is casted instead of the black poly. The motor is a 2014. When did MB change and go to the poly? Would this make this motor a 23 HD? It has electric trim. Thanks for any feedback. |

The poly covers were for the “mini” versions of the HD. They didn’t have electric trim either. Sounds like your looking at a HD. |

Ok. Can not really find any details on a 23 hd. When did MB stop making them? All I can find are the ones with “poly” covers. |

They quit offering the 23 HD a couple of years ago, about the time when the HDR came out. They still offer the 25 Kohler HD though for refuge boats, I bet that is the same frame the 23hp was on, but with reverse. |
