Re: Canada
What do you consider a big Whitetail?
I'm not asking to be a dick it's just different people have different opinions on what a big Whitetail is and I've seen some big whitetail from Manitoba. To me a big Whitetail is over 170" and a giant is over 190". I've seen while hunting a few over 190" and probably a half a dozen or more over 170" but sadly the biggest one I've shot grosses 161"
It's funny cause I know guys from Alberta that go to Manitoba every year to hunt Whitetails. There are guys from southern or central alberta that go to northern Alberta for big dear and guys that come from northern Alberta to central or southern Alberta to hunt.
The OP might just want to hunt a new area or meet new people. I know I'd like to make it down there someday for hunting.

Re: Canada
i would personally consider a big whitetail to be around the 150 mark but yes i know everyones opinion is different . however my standards for a archery and rifle hunting are different. my personal best has been a 164 and 159. i obviously want bigger but wont pass anything near that. i have been a pretty hard core waterfowl hunter for the past while and now just look for opportunity for new experiences hunting. especially if i get the chance at a different season.

Re: Canada
Hell I'd just like to shoot a deer with antlers one day. I seem to only to harvest does. My biggest was about 90 pounds. Here in South/Central Florida they don't get very heavy.
