Once again the waterfowl season is about to befall us here in Utah and, as I do every year with you fine southern fellas, If you happen to find yourself in my beautiful state during the months of October, November, December & first half of January and would like to go on a Utah duck hunt, or just tag along for a boat ride and see the scenery I would be more than happy to show you the sites.

I have a mud boat and a airboat so no walking (hoofin it) to the blind is necessary.

So there it is,, if you have any interest in seeing Utahs waterfowl I will be as hospitable and accommodating as possible.

The Gee

Ps- Nothing in exchange required, just a open invitation to come hunt or ride along.

Thanks. What's the closest airport?

One more thing...at what altitude will we be hunting. Coming from sea level here to higher altitudes might be a problem for some of us.

Salt Lake City international is the closest. And our elevation is about 4300 feet above sea level in a very dry climate.

For those interested: Round trip flights out of New Orleans on Southwest about $420. Leave Thursday and return Monday.

Late November-early December usually, but that's when the teal hunting gets really gets good. We drop our airboats right on the ice and drive them out to the great salt lake into the open water and set up on the ice line. That's some of the best hunting I've ever had. it just has to compete with ice fishing and snowmobiling season by then. ;)

I sure wish I would be around your state. I have never been that far north. $420 to fly from New Orleans to Utah for a duck hunt is not a bad deal at all! I didn't think people like you existed in 2014!

Thank you for all the kind words.. I consider myself to be very fortunate to have the means to enjoy the vast wildlife that Utah has to offer and Id like to share that with anyone who is able and willing to come check it out. A few years ago I took a trip down to Florida and had some extremely nice people offer me airboat rides on lake Kissimmee and that was one of the best and most memorable experiences of my life so now Im trying to pay it forward. Its also something that most of ya'll would never have the chance to see otherwise. You guys are welcome in my backyard any time you'd like. Whatever season it is, we will find something fun to do! :)

Wikipedia says "[Altitude Sickness] commonly occurs above 2,400 metres (8,000 feet)" so Louisiana folks will be ok at 4300 ft.
