Lowe 1760 with Stock 35 MB HD Sport
Took it out today all loaded up.
New belt and brand new Big Blade
The load:
3 men- 200 lbs, 245lbs, 170lbs 1 × 94L cooler with 2 x camo chaira mounted on top 4 fishing rods Minn kota 45lb thrust foot control bow mounted Deep cell battery 1000cca 2 tackle boxes 7 gal gas
Speeds
Deep = 21.3 - 22.4 mph average into a 13mph headwind and against the current. Say 6" ripple in the canal...in the big part of the bay, 1-2' chop, and 18mph-22mph wind gusts - I slowed down to keep my passenger's dry.
Shallow = bumped 23.7 for a few minutes. Not a good day to run shallower waters today, lots of guys fishing the shallows.
VERY happy with these speeds with the load and in the conditions I ran in today.
Interested to see what it'll run empty just me =)

So, solo light load....24mph. All the weight was in the back. Need to put some stuff up front to even out the weight I think. Getting a lot of splash back from the motor coming in the back of the boat too. While running it'll spray water into the back of my boat....wierd. never seen that before.

Sounds like the motor is the wrong height for the transom? Is it a tall or short? Still spray up when you trim up?

Belt case is hitting the water..... Post a side view of it on the trailer with the motor trimmed to where you'd run it

Tall transom, tall motor
Stops spraying when I trim up, problem is, I lose speed when I trim up that far

Re: Lowe 1760 with Stock 35 MB HD Sport
Mudflats speed
With a worn big blade with no wind my motor was doing 25.6mph in the water today.
Then I found some mudflats and it was like hitting boost on a turbo lol
First time on this boat I've ever seen 28.3 mph.
Was turning about 4140 rpm.
Ran like a champ today as well. I recently put a 32" shaft on and there is little to no tiller torque now.
Just an update.

Re: Lowe 1760 with Stock 35 MB HD Sport
I was recently gifted a set of duals to replace a muffler that fell off my boat 2 weeks ago. You read that correctly - it snapped and didnt survive the ride home. I switched to a K&N air cleaner (for $30), and still have the same worn BB and got out on big water (which is pretty much all i hit this time of the year) So the speeds and the load:
me at 195, friend at 190 and his dog at 89 9 x long lines of decoys (with 5lb grapnels on each end) 50 Puddle dekes with texas rigs 9 gal of gas 1 deep cell plus 1 starting battery Beavertail blind 2 guns and all hunting gear - we layer up a lot this time of season
with a 3mph tailwind and a small ripple on the water - averaged 22.3mph bumping 23 and dropping to 21.2 a few times.
Took a bit to get on step - but once it did - it planed out well and carried the load pretty well.
