Speeds | Shallow Water: ? Speeds | Deep Water: 27.1 MPH Total Boat Load With Gear Etc: 10 gallons of gas, typical boating gear and Uncle J Conditions Tested In: Calm waters at the LA Mud Run
Comments:
Just wanted to let you guys know how this boat process started. Called a few boat builders and decided to go with Uncle J after talking to him Of course I drew the design out on my driveway in chalk so I could visualize the inside of the boat. Well it worked.
Boat is 18x48 with 18 inch sides and performance crimps. Ran the boat twice and had a great time. The boat fires out the hole and gets to top speed quick. First trip out, a buddy and I had 10 gallons of gas, ice chest of beer, ice chest of crabs and crabbing gear and was going 26mph in deep water. Second trip out was at the LA Mud Run and had a blast. Had my brothing in law from KY and he enjoyed himself. Got to take to through some good mud around the camp. Never had any issues going through the mud and actually made a nice trail with Uncle J.
Jason is a class guy who did a great job. Like your best friend building your boat. Now I just need to remember to take the camera out on a ride for some action shots.

Re: Uncle J Chalk Boat Review
Agreed w/ top doz folks. Nice rig. Side height is diff. for everyone. W/ marsh running a 16 is fine and sometimes in Venice before daylight w/ stiff wind and strong incoming tide my 21" s dont feel like enuf. Enjoy.
