Well I got it!! My new 17x54 35gtr!! These are pic of the day I picked it up from Gator-Tail and a few days after installing the Hyrdo-Turf and trolling motor bracket.. Still w/o my EVT tho. I was told they would ship it to me TODAY. But I have been wait on it for 3 weeks now so im not holding my breath...

28-30mph deep Water & Shallow
Seems like it runs around 3700ish-3800rpm depending. Does this seem to be the same for everyone else?!?

It does slide but this is my 2nd GT (18x40 23gtr first rig) so I kinda already had the feel for the slide. But im totaly happy. At first I was DAMN this is way wider than I expected but after being in it fishing/riding im very happy!

Speeds are right on. I have an 1860 and I'm getting 28-29 almost bumping 30... 29.8 is my best with stock carb & Marsh Mellow exhaust

Post subject:  Re: New 17x54 35gtr

curious to why you installed the hydroturf on the front deck with the traction going left to right instead of front to back so the water runs off the front deck?

Author:  TDUET [ Thu Aug 12, 2010 11:07 am ]
Post subject:  Re: New 17x54 35gtr

THE SHEET IS LONGER THAT WAY AND ALOWED ME TO ONLY USE 1/2 A SHEET AND NO EXTRA CUTS. PLUS GATORTAIL DRILS SMALL HOLES AT THE END OF THE DECK FOR WATER TO DRAIN.. WITH THE GROVES GOING LEFT TO RIGHT THE WATER FLOWS DIRECTLY INTO THE HOLES DRILLED FOR DRAINING!

How long is that box?

Author:  TDUET [ Thu Aug 12, 2010 4:57 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: New 17x54 35gtr

7-1/2' foot rod box/gun box. They do make just a gun box it's a little shorter and maybe taller but I wanted 1 box for rod's and guns

Post subject:  Re: New 17x54 35gtr

Man I sure would love to have that rig for a fishing/bowfishing boat. But I'm sure if I bought it that it would also come with divorce papers.

Post subject:  Re: New 17x54 35gtr

I think it would be over kill to have 2 rod boxes... Its plenty of storage with one rod box and a small box in the back. But it wouldnt hurt to have 2!! lol

Owen, It will be rigged to bowhunt soon hopefully, but I will not bulid a deck. Just light bars across the front and sides. It deck sits high enough above the water I believe.

Woodduck, Sorry bro but you got that fancy a$$ paint job so maybe yours is take'n a little longer, but it will be well worth the wait!! BELIEVE ME!!

Does the half pipe down the sides come with it or did you tell them to add that? Is that where they ran the electrical wire?

Glad they hooked you up. Like I said on the phone I sent them 2 brackets 3 weeks ago so I do not know where the mix up came from.

Yeah it should be there when I get home from what GT told me this morning. I realy hope so! I'm unsure of the mix up as well. Kinda crazy but I should be all squared away after today. I just hopethe rain hold off after work so I can get it installed!! I'm ready for that EVT sound!
