Seriously? I'm just a new idiot, hope this is in the right forum. So, people come here because they're new to the "sport" and they'd like some advice before they spend a shitload of money, most likely from one of the sponsors here. Do you think being an asshole makes them more or less likely to do that, or do you think they just go somewhere else with their ignorance AND their money? Just one idiot's observation. Yes, I'm wearing my "big girl panties". I'm not bothered by it, but I've talked to several others who have, in fact, taken their money elsewhere. |

Thank you cb for providing an excellent example of exactly what I'm talking about. Instead of taking what I had to say to heart, especially because it's undeniably correct (do you think new people, for the most part, actually ENJOY being attacked personally for sharing their observations? And that being treated in such a way makes them want to patronize the sponsors and other vendors on this site, even though they aren't the offensive members?) you decided instead to make things personal, or at least try too. Where in my original response did I make things personal with anyone, much less you? What did I say that made you respond in the manner in which you did? Honestly, I don't mean anything personal by this, but I think that anger may be an issue in your life. You should try to get a handle on it before it costs you something dear to you. I used to have an anger problem, but I've overcome it, and I'm much happier now. Seriously. PM me if you want and I'll send you the names and numbers of some people that can help. My point was simply this: I assume that the sponsors put up a little money to support this site. As such, the site is, in a way, an advertisement for them, aimed, at least in part, to increase their sales. To that end, I'd think that, as an advertiser or sponsor, they would appreciate all of the older, more experienced members, such as yourself, to not go out of your way to attack the new members simply for being new and not knowing better. That's just good business sense that no one can argue with. That's not to say that the more experienced members, such as yourself, can't educate the new members on forum protocol and other useful things they need to be aware of in order that the forum runs smoothly for all members, both new and old, but perhaps it could be done in a more constructive, less personally offensive manner. In regard to the other part of your statement, it again proves perfectly exactly what I was referring to. What you said, in essence, was,"We/I can be as offensive to new members as I want to be because they have no where else to go and no other viable options on which to spend their money" although you said it, again, in the form of a personal attack, again, despite the fact that no one had attacked you first. Now, pay attention and don't let your anger get in the way, note in my first response, that I used the word "sponsors" not "vendors" or "members". That's an important distinction that even you should be able to understand, as I explained that earlier. To my knowledge, not all mud motor and mud boat manufacturers are sponsors of this site. I think that I'm correct, but please double check for me, cb. Oh yea, cb, I'm not going anywhere. As I told you previously, I'm not a p*ssy, I won't be intimidated by the likes of you, and I actually enjoy this. So bring it on in your next reply. Make it angry and prove me right about you.....again. |

Actually, NONE of the mudmotor manufacturers are sponsors of this site. Also, I've been callin new members "dumbasses" and "phucktards" since 2007 and have watched the amount of members continue to grow. So phuck off, phucktard. |
