Finally got the boat finished up aand ran it a lil bit. It is a 2072 with 24 in sides. Bottom is 3/16. Console in front with deck on the front and back and gunbox/bench down the side, and winch mounds front and back. I have dual mud buddy 35 cdi motors with dual 18 gal tanks in back and also batteries in the back. Speeed in deep water was 28ish. Never had a gps in shallow water but it does pick up some speed. It runs pretty much the same with any load I have had in it. I have had 6 peaple and three kids in it, with the two 18 gallon gas tanks full and a tub with about 30 gal of water in it and it still got up and planed out good. So far I am very happy with the boat. It will take me all way up in places were I prob shouldnt be with a boat that big. The more I drive it the more I like it the only part I dont like about it is the boat is an attention whore, everyone is always watching it or askin me about it wherever I go. |

The handle is so you can lift the motor by hand. |

Ya i thought it would run faster to but that was in deep water with 4 adults and 2 kids with full tanks. I dont own a gps so that was my buddies an the only time I checked it but when with duals an the big boat to carry BIG loads n it seems 2 do that |

That boat has to weigh close to 1000 #'s. It has a full 6'x20' 3/16 sheet as the bottom. 24"x20'. 1/8th sides, and 6x20' 1/8th for floor. |

i just love big chicks......but why brown?!?!? You ever seen a fast swimin Mexican....paint that chick black and watch her fly out the water....black chicks done like the water. Cool boat but if Ricky would have put his magic skills to the looks of it she would be perfect for my shed. Later PS....what RPM you turning....at WFO in the water loaded? |

Point blank dual rig won't follow a single rig!! And single rig won't carry a load a dual rig will !! That why I need one of each lol |

it will run just as shallow as my 1644 go devil did an i dont run trees so width isnt an issue. It actually surpised me how well it did in mud it is as good as any of the single rigs ive rode in. |

I got a boat in similar size with dual prodrives and I run 29 with a load similar to you. So you dont seem that far off. |

Forgot to tell you yesterday to get a few sections of 2" SCH80 PVC pipe and cut them down to say 5" or so. put these up in youre front box so when you get stuck on hard bottom or sand you can roll/slide you boat back in the water. Dont ask how I know!?! ![]() |

Duck season is over here in Iowa and the boat has exceeded my hopes. I have been a able to hunt four guys very comfortably and carry 80 duck and 40 goose decoys and still get on plane. I could not get 6 guys and lots of decoys up but I had 1/2" or more wore off my props at the time. Everyone that rode in the boat was very impressed. I ran over all kinds of crap with it and only have one small dent in the front rake part. The only problems I had with the motors is one of my steering rods bent at the end from me hitting a big a$$ rock with the motors trimed down and was able to still run the boat fine. Here are some pics of the blind I made for it. |

The only thing I would change would be to reinforce my front winch mount better. Im sure this design works fine on lighter boats but its starting to bend from the couple times I used it with heavy loads in the boat heres a pic of it. |

How the hell do y'all kill birds from somethin that big and conspicuous looking? Looks like it works but that would never work down here. |

The size of the boat dont seem to matter that much to me unless ur goin down to a small 14-16 boat. Actually it seems like the big boat can work better sometimes because everyone else has smaller ones an the ducks are used to that. Either way just makin it look like a brush pile. The winch mount works I just went to using a snatch block and bringing the hook down to the eyelet on the front of the boat so all the stress aint on the mount. It saved my ass a couple of times already. |
