mike will put runners on the side which will give you some lift. |

also, put a good bit of weight in the front. This will acutally help the speed on it. The long rake effects the speed because it reduces the amount of surface area the boat has on the water, making it sit lower. Adding weight to the front helps the boat lay over and ride more level and gains slighty more speed. |

Just wanted to update this for anyone in the same situation. Spray rails made a big difference in my particular case. Went from 22 with two people empty (370lb combined) to 26-27 with 2 people (450) 60qt loaded ice chest and fishing gear. Not bad for a modded small block. I'm expecting 29 empty by myself. |

You're not gonna get a rise out of me with that, lol. I'm not into the whole "best mud motor" or "best mud hull" or any other dick measuring contests you may can come up with. |

Hey D, meet Jimmy. If you're not 70 and saggy or have a tatorgail, it's junk. Not sure where he was on these threads though... |

I've been around a while, just don't post much. I've pretty well distinguished who the fan boy nut huggers are and who is here to talk and carry on like a grown person lol. Wpevey, yea man made a big difference for me. picked up right at 5mph even with a slightly heavier load, haven't got to test it empty yet. Might try and see what it does after work this evening. |

Rookies? Lmao..... So what's that make you, "professionally trained operator" ?! It's not heavy machinery and it doesn't qualify as a sport lol. It's a fucking lawnmower motor rigged to push an aluminum tub.. Some better than others of course, depends how much you wanna spend.. Regardless, not all that complicated... My little boat gets me where I need to go for the time being, so run along and take your GT Pom poms and play your song and dance for somebody who cares what you think. |

Lol if we are rookies then that makes him moldy and past his expiration date best to just throw him out |

Dont load your boat down in the front. Put some wedges on it and adjust them so it will ride flat with your normal load. I had an 18x38 with a 36PD. It porpoised bad and rode heavy in the back till I put 1/2inch wedges on it. |

This boat has the cut back transom, kinda wish it didn't though. I know that hurts the load carrying capacity too. Wonder if anyone has successfully filled in the cut back? Might be something I'm gonna look into also. |

Yea I seen that a while back, I know which one you're talking about. It really doesn't sit that low under way in deep water like it did, quite honestly it feels a little loose now it's so high lol!! I'm gonna have to get a vid of it running to really judge how it's doing. |
