 1646HD GTB with stock 35GTR
Boat: 1646 Gator Tall with huntdeck motor: 35 GTR with crossover exhaust
Testing conditions: slight chop water
Deep water: me (130 lbs) and 12 gallons of gas 29 . . . With me girlfriend 12 gallons of gas and ice chest full of ice. Plus 2 batteries 27.1
Shallow water: me and twin brother 12 gallons of gas 6 to 12in of water shallow hit 29 and 30 same load but by myself.
Motor is in the middle hole. Wold I get a MPH or 2 faster if i moved it up to the top hole? Not really running any mud right now.

Re: 1646HD GTB with stock 35GTR
Those are good speeds.
What are your RPM's? I ran mine in the first hole when it was stock and got better speeds and RPM's. I ma now in the second hole after A stage 1 done by Calen. (Heads, Cam, and Exhaust)
Gotta say that my boat is a completely different animal after the mods. Calen has my boat now and putting the Hi Rev coils on, so if and when I make up my mind on a Mikuni, I will not be to limited by the regular CDI coils.

I usually run it around 3890 to 3900. I thought about a Carb after reading what some guys on here was saying about them

def. start with carb and exhaust. Then look at doing work on the heads.

Very good speeds. Thanks for sharing, I will seriously consider a similar set up when I look to get a mud rig.

^X2 Those mods were a game changer. Can't say the Carb wouldn't have done well also, but the normal trend on this site is Heads and Cam. But I am sure that I will be getting the carb on there before long, to help when I am trimmed way down in the shit. And to have the throttle response.
