http://www.iboats.com/13-Gallon-Permane ... _id.470025 The tank has a deal so you can wire up a fuel gauge, doubt I will ever get that far though, seein as I can just look at the tank and see how much fuel I have. lol |

I agree, that boat couldent get much nicer unless it was full of naked chicks and beer. |

I bet it's a piece of solid bar welded from the transom to the trim tab so he can strap the motor down ![]() |

They are the same as the other hooks above them that you use to strap the boat to the trailer, and I use them to strap the motor down. The hooks are placed so that the strap goes over the frame of the motor, and not the lower unit. |

Post subject: | Re: 18x4 Brother Breaux Bateau |
Do they improve performance any? If so what? Is it better than the other hull designs of the boats brother normally builds? I know Owen has had both or I think he has.... What do you like better? |

Post subject: | 18x4 Brother Breaux Bateau |
I like the looks of these sides better, but Brother said the other style crimp is stronger, and with Brother wanting everything to be as tough and strong as possible, I had twist his arm to use those sides, lol. Cuz he knows I can F shit up! |

Post subject: | Re: 18x4 Brother Breaux Bateau |
hahaha yeah i saw the pictures of your old skiff and you sure know how to f*** up the sides. I like the looks of this better too but if brother says it stronger than im sure he is right. Can you see a differences in speed or anything with these sides? Also what do you like better your skiff of the flat? |
Author: | OwenDickeson [ Mon Feb 13, 2012 2:50 pm ] |
Post subject: | 18x4 Brother Breaux Bateau |
I liked my skiff for running through thick shit, but I like my flat because with the big deck I can lay drake blinds across the front of it. Honestly if I wasn't married I wouldnt have sold my skiff, I would have kept it AND bought the flat and put a GTR on it. But if I'm just gonna have one boat, it's gonna have a PD hangin off the back. |

I don't feel like there is a difference in speed or anything, I think it's just personal preference. |

Post subject: | Re: 18x4 Brother Breaux Bateau |
Ok so you just opened up a can of worms..... Why the GTR and what keeps you from having a one on your boat now. I am very undecided in motors right now. Don't mean to jack your post, if you like ill send you a pm |

Because I don't run mud and I feel like the PD is a tougher unit and performs just as good as the other brands in my area, and has always gotten me where the birds are. I have personally towed in 6 belt drives, and never once had a rope tied to me. That's all I'm gonna say about it, I'm sure some other brand owner would like to throw in their 2 cents, but I would like to keep this thread focused on Brothers boats. |
