I need some advice I have the excel 1645swf4 with the 23 hp MB and l want to put a 35 on it because I cant have any load. I was going to mod the 23 up but for the same money I can buy a 35 if I can sell my 23. I talked with a boat dealer that said the 35 was too heavy and the boat wouldnt run right due to weight. I have seen alot of people with that setup what do you think is it worth the extra money for the 35 or mod the 23.

i have a 35 on mine. by myslef empty it does fine. if i have a load and i come to a quick stop water likes come over the back of the boat but if you give it a little gas comin to a stop your good. the performance is awesome

Yes, after I got the boat I saw online that is was rated for a 35 but the plate on the boat says 25

same here 16-44 go devil boat rated for a 27, runnin a 36 pro drive. Actually sits in the water better with the 36.
