Well, I picked her up yesterday, & still got some rigging to do, but here she is. Completely open floor plan. Storage hatch front deck, grab rails on front deck, drop deck, spud poles front & back.

Very nice. I'm with paleo and agree with the open hull design. Are you just gona sit on a lil cooler/stool or stand the whole time? Are you gona paint it or leave it green? Sweet rig sir!

Bought straight from GT,
leaving it tan for now,
I can sit on the corner gusset or on the 60 qt K2 Cooler,
Boat was already in stock & happened to be what I was wanting,
3 weeks wait time,
Will post #'s once she's rigged & ready, hopefully by Monday.

Nice rig! What brand of trailer is that? I like how it has the four support bunks. MIne only has two and they only seem to touch on both the ends with the supports underneith them

Post subject:  Re: 1754 GT Extreme & 35 GTR

Thanks for the compliments, but like Terry said, this was a "stock" boat. I needed one "now" so I took a bare bones hull & will add as I need it.

Mr Brooks, that there swing is about 15-16 years old. Built the A-frames from landscape timbers & 3/4" deck boards ripped in 1/2. The swing is all 3/4" deck boards cut down. Fairly simple, but has lasted a long time, & still going strong.

With everything going on, today was 1st time I got to get the boat in the water. I gotta say, I've been missing out. I really like this rig, A LOT.
Handles like a dream & reverse is a damn nice feature to have.

I like the spud hole location on the hunt deck...I think I'm gonna steal that design for my boat.

Just give me a shout whenever you get ready, I need to put a few more hrs on this rig.

Post subject:  Re: 1754 GT Extreme & 35 GTR

Put a couple more hrs on her today. With me, wife, 2 kids @ 3800 we were running 28 in deep water. Pretty respectable for a stock rig. Oh, & best part is I got the seal of approval from my boss.

The folding chairs don't slide around too bad?

The open layout is the only way to go!

Author:  Team Camo [ Sun Apr 22, 2012 9:40 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: 1754 GT Extreme & 35 GTR

GT puts a sand texture in the paint on the floor, front deck, drop deck, & rear corner gussets as a standard feature, so there's no sliding around.

That boy would throw a maroon one overboard, if you could get him to even touch it. That boy bleeds burnt orange.
