 PD 36 efi 18x54 sbx
MM Brand: prodrive Horsepower: 36 Boat Brand: prodrive Boat Size: 18x54 sbx Boat Layout: cc with gun box
Speeds | Shallow Water: 28-29mph Speeds | Deep Water: 26-28mph Total Boat Load With Gear Etc: myself 210lb , buddy 190lb and dog 70lb. Conditions Tested In: light chop deep water in intercoastal and back marsh
After having this boat for nearly a year I took it back to prodrive for the E5 upgrade. This rig was slow all around before I had the mods done, and I have seen major improvements since. Before this boat was 27 mph tops with just me in the boat, and now I'm running consistent 29-30 mph. Loaded it down with 5 guys one evening that were all 200lbs or more. Planed out quick and held a constant 25 mph. Still not the fastest rig around but I am extremely satisfied with the work that prodrive did. image.jpg

I see this is an old post but got a question. What's the difference between e5 upgrade and a 37efi? What kind of prop are you running? The reason I'm asking is because I'm looking to buy basically the same boat here in Orange. It has a 37efi.

Re: PD 36 efi 18x54 sbx
The e5 is mods done by prodrive. Cam, heads, and exhaust. The prop I had on that boat was one that Brian at prodrive worked up when they did the mods. That motor had the bolt on efi that prodrive was doing before the 37 came out. It was a gen 3 lower as well. I sold it almost a year ago, but I'm sure prodrive is putting out a new prop that works well with the 37 and gen 4 lower. The 37 would push that boat just fine.

1748 instagator with gtr37
There was absolutely nothing wrong with that prodrive setup I just wanted to try something else. Jay (instagator) is pretty close to where I live so i figured I'd go that route. Smaller boat and tiller drive works better for how/where I hunt.

Did you upgrade to another boat? Why did you sell this one? What did you not like about it?
