1854 GTB Extreme w/ Stage 1 35 GTR
Boat: -2014 1854 Extreme -Pointed bow -Spud poles -Bow rails -3" catwalks -Hydroturf throughout -Nat Gear paint
Motor: -2014 35 GTR -Stage 1 by Hoyt (Cam, Heads, Exhaust) -Non-cast LU -3-blade
Deep Water: 29-30 mph Shallow Water: 32-34 mph
(Load including 9 gallons of fuel, safety equipment and tool set, 30 qt K2, myself and one other person (500+ lbs combined). We were also able to run 25.5 mph with over 1300 lbs in the boat.
Overall I am more than impressed with this set up. The guys at Gator-Tail were great to work with and everything turned out exactly how I wanted. It was ready in less than the estimated 12 weeks and as soon as I could I made the drive to Loreauville. After a 18 hr round trip it was on the TN River late the same day. I expected it to run pretty well, but didn't think it would actually run 34.4 mph (just me solo). All speeds were recorded using a Garmin Montana 600 gps. I did pick up a 2-blade prop when I bought the boat, but I haven't had the chance to switch it out and see the difference between both props. The only changes I've made have been wiring in red LED interior lights under the catwalks, a max it out LED indestructible stern light, and I had Gator-Tail switch out the standard 20 qt K2 for a 30 qt (I'm a big guy and wanted a bigger seat with more dry storage/cold beer storage). Looking forward to putting some limits of birds in it come fall

10-4 sounds goods. I'll probably have to work a couple weekends later in the summer. I'll see if I can't take some time during those work weeks to make a trip up, I'd like to see that Prodigy in person.

boat looks great. Am I seeing things, or does your hull have a hybrid rake on it?

Re: 1854 GTB Extreme w/ Stage 1 35 GTR
I got them off ebay. They run about $15 shipped. Just search for waterproof led strip lights. Most are 5 meter/16.4' in length and that was the exact amount I needed to do both sides under the catwalks, under the front deck, and the hunt deck. Most of the strips have a 3M backing but I still sprayed some 3M super 90 adhesive to be sure. I just wired them into an existing switch that GT left open

Re: 1854 GTB Extreme w/ Stage 1 35 GTR
Update on speeds, I took my wife and some friends out on the river this weekend to run some jugs for catfish. With 4 of us, two large coolers loaded down, and fishing equipment we had what I figured to be around 1,200 additional pounds in the boat. Jumped up on plane right away and held a constant 26.5 mph for a 12 mile run. This was all in 10+ foot of water. Occasionally got as high as 27.5 mph. More than satisfied with it's performance with that load, especially in deep water

Re: 1854 GTB Extreme w/ Stage 1 35 GTR
Thanks guys. I got a 2 blade prop as well when I picked up the boat, I'm hoping to switch it out this weekend and see the difference between it and the 3 blade

Re: 1854 GTB Extreme w/ Stage 1 35 GTR
I was finally able to try out the 2-blade prop this afternoon. I do think that it had a little better low end torque, but overall my motor much prefers the 3-blade. Best I could run today was 31.5 mph and that was just me (no load at all) running down river with a pretty good current. I was also turning 4300-4400 rpms. With the 3 blade I have run over 32 mph with a couple of us in the boat and at lower rpms.
So if anyone is interested in buying a basically brand new (30 min on it, deep water only) 2-blade or better yet, swopping a 3-blade for a 2-blade let me know

Great looking boat. I'm from the Hartselle area near Decatur. I wouldn't mind being shown around mud creek and racoon creek over there sometime!

Re: 1854 GTB Extreme w/ Stage 1 35 GTR
I doubt I'll be up there before teal season but just holler at me and I may get a chance to run up that way. A lot of vegetation this time of year and always stumps to deal with. Just depends on water levels for mud
