Well she is finally running, and running pretty strong. I love the fit and finish of the hull with the 3/16th bottom and the way it handles with the GTR, she is a little on the heavy side to really be a runner. I will post up some pictures later on today of the completed project.

Motor Work Includes:
Heads with 1 peice valves, ported, polished, decked 0.065 beveled valve guides, and a little more.
Intake work is port matched and polished with the old style BPS intake adapter.(with 1/2" carb spacer)
Bps cam with new lifters.
.020 over sized stock pistons (still dished)
#4 timing advance (still need to get it dialed in as per ground strap on spark plugs)
Mikuni carb (waiting on a Yost power atomizer to try out this weekend). Its is running a 162.5 and is perfect color. I will try some needle adjustments to get her dialed in form 1/4 to 3/4 throttle range.
Running a mud buddy big blade right now, but have a gator tail prop comming to run on it.

Ran the boat with noramal boat gear, 2 batteries, 2 people, and 13 gallons of gas and the sweet spot was 5150 RPMs. Got in it by myself and and she was at 5300 RPMs.

What kinda speeds you getting at 5150 rpms??

I'm waiting to run the Gator Tail prop to post some speeds, lets just say she was over the 35 MPH mark.

Lets see who gets the closest,,,i say 37.964234mph!!!

Why does it matter to say what it ran with the MB prop?

I love the v front. You can nose up on a wave and not have to worry about getting wet like a standard square front. I had 2 inboards get in front of me creating a big wave and I tried to get the spray to hit us from crossing them and could not get us wet.

RPMs will be about 200- 300 higher. lol

Got it in some good running conditions yesterday, and she ran a steady 36-37 yesterday after noon. Motor is starting to break in a little.
