Gator tail 18x48 extreme w/35gtr ran 25mph up current and 26.6 down current . Didn't have a chance to run it long because of work. All deep water speeds. 3700 to 3800 rpms but seems to run a lil slower than normal?

Didint know extreme came in a 48" ? Those speeds do seem somewhat low... Your RPMs are a bit low too. What hole are you running the pin in?

Its a 18x48 narrow. Theres four holes on the transom clamp, the pin is in the second one from the top. And when I would watch my gps and trim up any more I would lose speed.

New GTs have 4 now. Bump RPMs to 4300 OOW and play around with pin locations. Go ahead and put the factory bolt on the bottom hole and get you a Mercury 20hp quick release trim pin so when you get on the thick stuff you can just pull it out and let the motor go to the bottom bolt without having to pull tools out.

48" Extreme is new hull option. I like it a lot. I agree, get the rpm up till it's on rev limiter (coils). Instead of hunting down a Merc pin that may or may not fit, go to hardware store & get a 3/8x10" bolt & a small hitch pin. Cost <$10 & it will for sure work.
