1744 WC// 25 GTR
i guess its time to make an official review on my WC, i wanted to get a few hours on it and try different situations
MM Brand:Gatortail Horsepower:25 Boat Brand: WC Custom Boat Size: 1744 double taper chine/hunt deck Boat Layout: open/ drive seat box and rod/gun box
Speeds | Shallow Water: 26-28 light loaded with just me(270)dog(65) and all safety gear// loaded 3 people(650) full hunt load 4 dz decoys 21-22 mph Speeds | Deep Water: boat doesnt like deep water , light loaded 25, same hunt load 18-20 Total Boat Load With Gear Etc:6 gallons fuel , 1 battery, cooler full of beverages, all safety gear, set of tools Conditions Tested In: most tested in calm water with a average wind speed of 5-10 mph..
Comments: all i can say is the boat turned out just how i imagined, i knew it would be no speed boat and went with the 25 because of hp restrictions, i am very satisfied on how evrything turned out....
if anyone looking into a custom build, i wanna say give Willet a call and see what he can do for you.
the little 25 has more torque than expected, sitting on bottom/soft mud with full hunt load , was able to jump on plane within 2 boat lengths

Re: 1744 WC// 25 GTR
The deep water speed is coming from the 44" bottom, if you were have gone 48" of even 50", would have been a world of difference in load carrying and load carrying deep water speed. But some around here go narrow also to run tight spots and trees.
