Finally got my new skiff! 17'6x48 3 /16 bottom 1/8 sides Double bottom 3 cross braces 12 Gallon Fuel Tank 36 Pro-Drive with Mikuni Conditions ran: Windy/chopp 30mph steady 2 men. 26-27 4 men.

Congrats on the boat!
What are the advantages of a skiff? Are they better in coastal areas that can get rougher seas? I've just never seen them up here, but they seem to be prevalent in the Gulf coast.
