MM Brand:Mud Buddy Horsepower:35 Boat Brand:Phowler Boat Size:1748 Boat Layout:wide open, no bottom runners Speeds | Shallow Water:constant 27-28, touched 30 a few times Speeds | Deep Water: constant 27, bumping to 28 Total Boat Load With Gear Etc: me (230), buddy (180), fishing gear, cooler with a case of beer Conditions Tested In: 70*, slight wind. Comments: I thought I would get some time on the rig before I wrote a review. About 30 hours on it now, and really like the rig! Boat is built like a tank, runs great with and without a load. Love the high sides! The gunnel is awesome for mounting anything and not having to drill holes! Runs the same with just me as it does with 2 people. 3 people, dog and a hunt load was 23mph at 3900-4000rpm. The motor is smooth, i do have a gutted stock muffler on it, running about 4100 rpm with a new big blade at top speed. I couldn't believe the speeds either, but gps checked again and again. The only complaint I have about the boat is that the paint doesn't seem to stick too well, flaking off in big chunks in the gutters and along the inside of the boat. I'll be doing stage 1 sometime after 50 hours. And I have a feeling this thing is gonna be a rocket! |
