Comments: Well, the ole longtail was about on its last leg and I decided it was time to give the SD a try. Walked into the local PD dealer and he had a motor exactly like I wanted on the floor ready to go. Huge thanks to North La Hunter, he stayed at his shop till 9:00 the night before he left on vacation building my transom up to 20". Did a jam up job too, can't tell it was ever a short transom boat!

The motor had really exceeded my expectations so far. The speeds are pretty good for a stock engine and it hauls a load pretty good too. I've gone every where I wanted to go in it so far and haven't had to push yet.
Lovin the Hydro reverse and how easy this thing is to drive. I'll try to get some better pics up when I get off work

Congrats on the new motor!

To this day, I cringe every time I look at the front end of that boat.

I completely missed this thread this summer. Congrats on the new motor Woodie.

So, you coming to SETX again this year? Be curious to see how you do with this rig now without the old LT.

This is my hunting rig, It wont be at SETX

The LT will be a sure enough beast this time and on a much lighter boat
