I finally got my gtr in after a 8 week wait. Mounted it on the boat and got it painted in a day. Just got a chance to take it out today. It's on a 1644 godevil with a .125 bottom. I got 26 mph with the ol lady and dad in the boat. Couldn't be happier |

Alright I'm idling at 1300 rpm in neutral out of the water, and wot out of water is 4800.... That's a little high right? |

a little - but how accurate do you think these tiny-tachs really are? My rev limiters on my 2015 GTR start kicking in at about 4700-4730,. i would run it in the water before changing anything. what is the manufacture date of your engine? |

Coot those rpms sound right, maybe bump your idle down to 1100-1200. |

Your idle is right, had similar concerns with my 2015, talked with Hoyt & 1300-1350 idle and 4600-4650 WOT out of water. Surprised yours is reading 4800. Also keep an eye on your hour meter, mine seems to be tracking faster, usually when running for short periods and shutting down then starting back up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hoyt also said those new tachs are very accurate at reading RPMs, which is the reason they are using them now, not sure what brand they are but don't appear to be tiny tach Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

buddy had same boat with stock gtr he was running 28-29 with a stage 2 he was around 32-33 but he had short transom motor on his now he has switched to a 16x60 surface drive godevil boat with tall transom motor stage 2 still around same speeds maybe a little more just know he lost handling when he switched from the rounded chime |

The only problem I have with mine is the porpoising. But a extra battery and cooler in the front fix that |
