20.2mph with a hunt load...slow to get to speed.
But it got there.
3 of us and 6 dozen decoys, 3 guns, 9 gal fuel, blind, all the gear on board. ..
Once on step got 20.2 avg speed on a glass calm day.
Stopped for a minute in the middle of the lake - hammered the throttle again...got to 10mph...then 11..13...16....18...19.7......20
Took a while =)
Not bad for a 1760 lowe and a bone stock 35 HD Sport.
Pretty happy considering one of my guys is 330 with his waders and coat on.

I was right there with ya last year buzz. I haven't had a big hunt load in the rig since I had my valves lapped n heads decked, hopefully it makes a difference. At least ya got there though!

Mudxxed aint lying.. When we had our 35HD sport, we did only the minkuni carb and the Q muffler and it was like having a whole new motor. So much more hole shot and top speed

You guys are a hoot
I was contemplating the mikuni and a Q muffler

Re: 20.2mph with a hunt load...slow to get to speed.
Well tested out max load capacity today.
1465 lbs made up of stuff in the boat including
4 guys and a lot of gear Rediculous amount of decoys on long lines 9 gal fuel Ice on the boat
Breakneck speeds of
8.5mph.
Would not plane out we PLOWED for 5 miles to the blind today. Sloooow going but we still had fun.
The review continues.

Re: 20.2mph with a hunt load...slow to get to speed.
Bah, I dont usually have that heavy of a hunt load - 2 or 3 at the most usually at 15-22 mph This was a special day with 4 of us. Sure I want to mod this out, but I dont need to valves need to be re seated but season's almost done. I'm patient =)

You may need to weigh that 330#er again to find out how many twinkies he consumed since your last outing. He may have packed on a few more pounds since.
