Post 1848 Prodigy with stock 35 GTR
IMG_20141110_064622804.jpgi bought the motor in May and ran it on an old 1744. I have been looking at Prodigy boats since they appeared on this site and finally ordered one in August. I did a lot of the work myself so it has taken me a little while to finish it (especially with deer and duck season open). Here is the review:

With the old 1744 and 1 person i was getting 24 mph. The boat was a very light and flimsy.

With the prodigy 1848 duckbill front, 8" cat walks, hunt deck i am getting 26 with one person and 25 with 2 people, 4 dozen decoys and all duck hunting gear. I could not be happier. If you want a boat, Chad at Prodigy is the way to go. Great customer service and very reasonable pricing.

nice looking rig - those boys at Prodigy are putting out some nice boats.

how does the boat turn in narrow channels with loads?

I'm in Decatur, AL about three hours away. I like the looks of the nat gear. I almost painted my prodigy that, but I really like the bottom land for my application. How many hours you got on the motor now? Heads make a big difference

Heads are pricey but worth it 600- 700 bucks. Gut your stock exhaust and you have made big improvements. We have a ride down here setup for summer, you ought to head down.

Thats not bad speed, im thinking of 1748 or 1756 with a GTR35. I live in Ga so hes not to terribly far away. Do you have any complaints about the boat or anything at all?
