EDIT *Update*

After selling my rig I thought I wanted to get a hide. After thinking it over, I realized it just wasn't for me. Instead I priced a builder or two and looked for a decent used boat. Came across this 1544 with a hunt deck and a Black Death 4500 hung on the back. I took one ride and was sold. Boat is in almost brand new condition. Picked it up for a good deal too. Starting to see some impressive numbers. Going goose hunting this weekend and looking forward to seeing/getting more numbers.

My girlfriend (125) and I (180) Deep water running a solid 30 MPH, that's empty other than the gas tank. Can't remember RPMs

Took it out this afternoon with two other guys, a dog, and me it ran 28 MPH consistently in deep water and 29 MPH in the shallows.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased and happy with this setup. I know a lot of people don't like muddy but, I've driven em all and they're just my preference. A lot of people in my family has had em and never had any problems. That being said, I would recommend this boat or motor to anyone out there!!

Had it in the timber this past weekend (3/14/15) and she handled great! I was able to fit into holes I wasn't expecting to be able to fit through. The handling was spot on and didn't slide or want to get away from me in tight turns. Overall I'm still extremely happy and ecstatic about this rig and how she's holding up. Can't wait for duck season to get here!

just a couple pics i've got.

Update with some more pictures!

Nice rig. How do you like your controls on the handle?

Nice rig, but that gas tank is screaming to be put under the front deck.

That boat is begging for a removable front deck extension. Nice rig!

Nice rig. Fully built, that motor would make that boat move!

Looks like you may need to push the boat forward on the trailer a little. You want the bunks past the transom a few inches to prevent hooks back there.

Kent built a fun boat to drive. I love how it turns on a dime. I am a huge fan of gator trax boats

Well, I added my first "mod" to the rig. Added some reverse lights to the trailer for those sketchy, dark ramps. The lights are two diffused Rigid SR-Ms that I got a while ago with the intentions of putting em on my truck. Haven't had a chance to really use em yet, but from what I can tell they're bright enough!

Also, a buddy and I went to the mud run at Bushy Park a week or two ago. Boat did real well!! Didn't get stuck the whole day and had a blast.

Heres a few pics.

Having a little bit of technical difficulties lol.

We're in the middle boat.

and just a random one a few days ago

Finally got around to adjust my valve lashing and give her an oil change.

My uncle helped me adjust valve lashing and showed me how. I didn't know it was that easy to do, but I also am not too mechanically sound when it comes to working on an engine. Good information to know though.

Some recent pics.

** UPDATE **

I've had the rig about a year or so now, and I still love it. I've done just about everything in this rig now. We've taken it out west and loaded it up with "good" ducks, shot some woodies in it, and stacked it full of coot decoys and layouts to shoot divers. It really surprised me this season, she will tote a load but one thing is for sure, I am definitely in need of a fresh prop.

Here's a few pictures from this duck season.

A little ring neck beat down.

Made it to Kansas

Finally getting to put some "good" ducks on the bow.

My personal favorites.

Back in SC with 75 degree temps and 95% humidity.

Loaded down, still ran 28 MPH, with 300 deeks and a layout, plus other junk.
