Test drive both boats, GTR and PD.
Either one will be good for you. Just see what you like best.

I'm building a crossover boat, the boat will be a family boat used for hunting and fishing. Outboard just want cut it where I run and reverse is important to me so my question is what mud motor setup will have the most practical reverse setup for my application? Thanks In advance |

1) This is the reviews section. 2) The Gator Tail will give you the most outboard-like experience since it has instant reverse, the prodrive will give you more power in reverse but take longer to change from forward to reverse. Aside from that, you gave no insight as to what your application is. Those are the two main differences. |

I'll be running salt water grass flats/ river with rocks logs stumps lots of vegetation and mud |
