So would welding on to it, makeing alittle more of a bend in it help any? Its just borderline needing the motor moved but i'd rather not unless I have too. The torque in it today was not bad at all just lost speed. So maybe that extra curve in it would help with the motor pinned higher to get my speed back.

I'd rather move the motor than weld on cast aluminum but that's just me.

Rough it up good with 80 grit sand paper and put a bead of JB weld. Let it dry then shape it with sand paper. If it doesn't work sand it off.

Seems like to me you are having to offset your own weight by shifting the motor away from you on the transom to balance the boat. I noticed in your video the girl or whomever was riding with you was sitting on the same side of the boat as you. Have you tried running the boat with just yourself standing in the middle driving to see if the torque is still there.

I could be way off here because I've never dealt with these rigs before. Just got me thinking.

I pushed my motor to port side an hVe no tiller torque at all made it a lot ezr for my lil ass to drive it

Is there any correleation one way or the other between boat width and tiller torque with all other factors being equal (e.g., motor centered on boat, even weight distribution, etc.)

I would think a bigger wider boat would have more torque than a narrower one but idk. Ran it in the top hole and not as bad but still lost speed. So it's looking like 2nd hole and need to move the motor ..

Unbolt it, take a hammaknockka with you and a chunk of 4x4 and just go run it clamped to the transom. Loosen it up and bump it around where you need it. Hell, take your ol man with you if he doesn't feel warm and fuzzy about you running it much like that. I get it though. That's a lot of cash to be dragging up off the bottom of the lake....

Oh i know where the shallows are lol but i dont get along with sand either..

Hell I trailered mine without transom bolts about 250 miles - ran a full Saturday - not smart or recommended but I was still "tweeking" motor and had to go to a ride

I trailered mine also few hundred miles. Went an ran it few times before I bolted it down got it to where I wanted it an then set the bolts

Review updated. Few more speeds added to the list. Still waiting on shallow water

Good looking rig there ! The GTR I just sold pulled a little to the right ! I moved the more just a little and it corrected the problem.

I have not... Had a couple trade offers and a guy that's supposed to be getting back to me today about it. I've had several people text me about but soon as they see that im in Texas they don't answer back I guess nobody really needs one right now but if it doesn't go anytime soon i have a feeling it'll go quick when Teal season starts to creep up on us.

You ever look to see which way you moved your motor?
I put a good bit of jb weld on the skeg to put alittle more of a "bend" in it. Haven't ran it yet to see if its helped any but if not i plan on slideing it over next week.

Im planning on pulling the pods and floor flotation out of the rear of the boat to have a wide open floor for driving. Im working on getting the stuff now so that soon as the mud bugs ride is over i can get to working on it. Im doing it to get the room in the back for working the motor and hopeing i'll shed a few pounds and get up to that steady 28mph with it.

no - sorry last thaw I pulled my motor off to do the heads, now the barn that the boat is in is buried in snow, it melted on the roof and slid off and is blocking the door - I'll big a door out and look tomorrow night?

Its all good man nu rush. Dont need to do all that work just to tell me if your motor is right or left lol
