looking into the lowcountry boat, specifically the backwater series if anyone has any info on them i would appreciate any input. looking for a 14 or 15x42 to run with my 25hp MB LT |

There's a guy on here who has one, I think he got it pretty recently too. I'm pretty sure its Ricerunner. |

I've got a Lowco not the backwater but it's not much difference in boat in pretty sure they just call the smaller boats (less than 15') backwater and the bigger the Lowco's |

How do you like it? I'm torn on what I want. I run a riveted boat now and it's fine for what I do but a welded hull would last forever. Currently have a 25hp longtail but may upgrade to a bigger SD down the road so I want something that could work for both |

So far I like it it's been a good boat ive beat and banged off trees up and over stumps it's built well. It's tough I promise it does slide if you try and hang it out in a turn lol but it's a square chine so it's gonna happen carries a load very well I will recommend that you get a bigger boat than a 14-15 I don't know about the LT motors pushing speeds but If your considering a SD down the road you'll need the bigger boat. |

I'm in Maryland. The surface drive is just a maybe at this point, and I kind of need the smaller boat for my areas I wanna go. I was looking at the low country 1542/1544 or a G3 1544. I don't beat on them too bad and it's all mostly soft mud, so in not sure if it's worth it to step up to a welded hull like these or stick with the lighter boat. Currently use a 1436 and it works but only in dead flat water. The sides are lower like 16 inch. The lowco is 18 and the G3 is 21 |

Running any mud you'll do better with a true flat bottom it slides better other than that the G3 isn't a bad boat IMO |
