1432 Alumacraft w/ 12hp Copperhead
I pieced together a duck hunting boat for as cheap as possible. Couldn't be happier with what I came up with. Was skeptical about the 12hp in fear that I may under power it. This thing runs 25mph with 2 guys (both about 220lbs), and no load. Jumps on plain real fast, and cuts through mud better than some of my buddies $20k rigs.
I had to take off the stock 11" prop and replace it with a 9" prop with a little extra cupping due to refuge restrictions here in Texas. Took it out duck hunting this morning, and with myself (220), my brother (210), 3 dozen decoys, and other normal duck hunting gear, I was able to hold 21mph, still jump on plane just as fast, and still cut through mud without a problem.
The only complaints I have is the 1432 is obviously pretty tipsy. Makes getting in and out a bit of a chore, but my fat ass manages pretty well. Also, I didn't realize how much I wish I had reverse. But Copperhead is what it is...light weight, simple, and powerful.

Got any pics of how the boat floats? I was thinking about putting an 18 on mine but with those speeds seems like the 12 is all I'd need.
