Just picked up my Prodigy a few days ago. Im down in the Keys but will be hunting from Montana all the way back across the country from oct/nov and back down to florida for our season down here. I got a chance to put the boat in down here this morning to shoot a few pics and get a feel for it. Runs great! didnt have a gps but id say speed was mid to high 20's conservatively. I will get a full speed report etc with weight in the next few weeks as I get her ready for the trip out to montana and hunt ready. Working with Chad and Ashley (and the rest of the guys I met) was great. They answered questions timely, were very personable and helpful, and obviously make a GREAT product.

bigger than the speed, I was impressed with the way the boat handled chop. I will not blow things out of proportion because lets be real... this is a flat bottom duck boat. But it handled the small chop and boat wakes that I will have to deal with in Okeechobee and out in the big water in Montana very well. Very solid, no rattles and didnt soak me. There will obviously be some spray when its windy.

This is my first surface drive so it will take some getting used to. Lots of torque on the tiller handle and im not a huge guy so I'll have to be careful. The efi is great, starts easily and idles nice and smooth. Reverse is ok... just ok. It will slow you down a bit and help you back off of a shoreline but dont expect to be maneuvering much in reverse.

Specs are
1751 .125 hybrid V rake w/hunt deck
Mud Buddy 37efi HDR Tall transom
Two corner boxes
catwalks w/bent trays
steps in hunt deck
shaggy blind (not installed yet)

Keep your eye on their IG for more photos of my boat and on mine @prodigyboats & @ctm_luke

Congrats on a sweet rig. I have a 1854 with a 37 HDR. Speed isn't everything and mid 20's is plenty fast for me. Keep us posted on the speeds when you get them.

They have already come in handy both backing the boat down a dark ramp and I'm sure they will be invaluable when out of the boat setting up decoys early morning. Plus they look really cool lol

Sc, problem with that? I'm a photographer, I get some work from Instagram so building my following = more work.

Thanks for the kind words. Its in western montana... thats as specific as ill get haha. Birds have been good!

That is actually one of my buddies running the boat. My other friend, the pup and I were on the shoreline.

The area is pretty photogenic...

In the photo of the boat why is there a reflection of the registration number and decal in the water, but no number or decal on the boat itself. Just an old retired cop trying to figure things out.
