Very impressed with how my rig came out. I have put about 5 hrs on the motor now. I'm coming from a cc prodrive sbx so this is much lighter, faster, and responsive. Jay builds a hell of a boat with tons of detail. I went with the winch mount in the front, spud pole, removable gun box, gator glide and his signature paint job. This is my first tiller rig and first GTR. I have the stock 3 blade prop on right now. Not experiencing any tiller torque to speak of, but that prop sucks backing up in veg. Definitely getting a hold of another prop before the season, will update speeds with different prop and hunting load.

Great looking boat. Speeds seem to be about what everyone is getting on comparable rigs with the EFI.
Interested to hear what prop you are going to try, and why you think it will reverse better.

Get your prop worked a touch, and it will improve more.

Hey I recognize that boat lol.

Put a big blade on. You'll thank me later.

Big blade the way to go? I think I'll get this 3 blade worked and get one of those.

Ran the past couple weekends teal hunting. 3 guys (all 190-210), dog and gear ran 23-24 in deep water with big blade prop. Ran 25 and bumped 26 a couple times in the shallow. 4100-4200 rpms.

Good speeds and good looking boat.
Jay does fine work.

You in Dickinson, need to come ride with us (me and Tperkins) in clear creek at some point.

Is this a stepped hull?

I think it is similar to a stepped chine, but Jay has his own design.

3ck, I'll pm you fellas sometime and join up for a ride.
