 1754 vs 1854 center console gtr with 40 Looking for opinions.
I’m going to buy a new 40hp gator tail center console. This rig will be used to hunt, fish, frog, crab, etc. All recreational.
I can’t decide between an 18x54 or 17x54 gator tail hull.
I don’t know if the 17 will be quite enough space (which I’m sure it’s fine) , but I don’t want to sacrifice speed by going with the 18 either.
What do you guys have experience wise and preferences?

Re: 1754 vs 1854 center console gtr with 40 See saw effect, 18' will support the weight of the motor and balance better for shallow water also. I've had both and 18' is better all around.
