Picked this up recently and just getting broke in. Only have around 7 hours on it so far. It came stock with a 3 blade, I think it’s the raptor 2? I’m coming from a 23hp GDSD and longtails, so it’s kinda weird having neutral. I still find myself trying to raise the prop out of the water at times lol. It turns good, I’ve seen others with similar set ups talk about sliding but I haven’t noticed anything crazy.

1 person fishing load (me - 195lbs, 2 batteries, 6 gallons of gas, small yeti cooler and misc gear)
Held steady at 31.5 but hit 33 for a little bit. I’ve been trying to stay around 4200-4300. After I get some more hours on it I will get it dialed in better, I’ve yet to run it wide open for long periods of time. Add another person (240 lbs), and held 29, bumped a little over 30 at times. Have not fooled with moving stuff around for best speeds or anything yet. There’s more in it, the 40 gets on step quick. Night and day over the small block.

Thanks, I’ve been running it as much as I can over the summer. I like it a lot.

After 45ish hours on the motor - it’s a 30 mph rig with 2 people and a fishing load on a no current, shallow water condition. (2 batteries, 6 gallons of gas, etc.)

Add a third person, and it drops to 27-28 mph. Really impressed with the 40, starter lags slightly at times I’ve noticed. Boat turns good, finish and everything is good.
