There are plenty of safe Hotels within 10min to the boat launch...it just wont be like caddo where you will get a nice cabin and such. Let me get with the guys here and see what we can come up with. I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested before we do alot of planning. |

They have a huge Saltwater Fishing Tournament here every year and they put up all of those guys and their CC rigs so I know we can figure something out. |

Wallisville run would have lodging in Anahuac, on I-10 in Hankamer, KOA in Mont Belvieu and hotels in Baytown. All with in 20 minute drive to ramp. |

Miller ain't gonna "shine" till the river calms down to under 10,000 and the north wind blows out the high water... River flow is at 40,000 plus right now... 02/09/2010 21:00 CST 29.73 --- 40,300 Overall water levels at Wallisville are 2 feet OVER normal tides.... Great for fishin but not for muddin... |

Lodging is going to be an issue...we have a huge expansion project at the refineries here so most of the decent hotels are taken up with out of town workers. But I am gonna see if I can figure something out. |

You guys could check with the new La Quinta on the edge of Bridge City. Very safe area to leave boats at night with a very well lighted parking lot!! Not far from any boat launch. Also not far from the Central Mall area for eats. |

Did you ask them for a GROUP rate? Ask them about a discount for multiple rooms, possibly ten or more rooms. I will do some thinkin' and searching to see if I can come up with a place that can handle a good size group of people. |

Plenty of places to stay in the kemah area. Kinda far but cant be any farther than Port Arthur area. Like 20-30 mins or so. Also Mount Belview. Not sure of the hotels there but they have plants and I'm sure there are some. |

Still trying to find a place for you guys that want to come to stay and have good security. Don't want ya'lls stuff being messed with, once we find out some good hotels to accomodate we will set a date. Don't want it to be too expensive for anyone! ![]() |
