Go Devil Throttle Lever Modification
I'm just curious... Do any of you guys make modifications to your throttle lever? I hated the throttle lever that go devil makes with the little ball on it so I scrapped it, and made my own. I used a clutch perch and lever that I ordered from a dirtbike magazine along with a new throttle cable. I love this setup! I was just curious if anyone else has changed their throttle setups. I will post pics as soon as I can get some.

Re: Go Devil Throttle Lever Modification
Thats what I plan to do actually. I just bought a used 16 hp lt and think that a throttle that staysd open when shit gets ugly is a bad idea.

Re: Go Devil Throttle Lever Modification
curious which way dp you guys face the lever? I am thinking down would be good. Then it wont want to ramp up on the prop spin. But maybe on the opposite side of prop spin.

Re: Go Devil Throttle Lever Modification
I will post up some pics when I am able to take them. I absolutely love it! I was scared of the throttle that stayed wide open. Pretty stupid if you ask me. I can let go of the clutch lever throttle setup and the motor will go straight back to idle. I love that!

Re: Go Devil Throttle Lever Modification
Question..... Did you have to put a return spring on the carb linkage?

Yup, the huffy got it. Damn a throttle that stays open when the sht hits the fan, just gotta learn to drag them feet so I don't eat sht on the bike now.

Re: Go Devil Throttle Lever Modification
I have tried a twist grip and the squeez lever. The preference seems to be for the squeez lever that returns to idle when you let go of it. It depends on what the motor was set up with ,wether or not a spring has to be added to the linkage assy. I now use a poly lined outer cable houseing and a stainless or teflon coatee inner cable to reduce friction in the assy and fatigue in the little fingers.
