gdlt BUSHING REMOVAL
i have gdlt frame i need to change the lower bushing i read the manual. it states to cut the the bushing in two locations. i am not sure where to cut the bushing. i think it is the new seal system i attached a couple of pics.

get u a sawzaw with a metal blade or a few blades cuz its going to eat them up and put in to were the shaft was coming out and cut it like a cross ( + ) its alot easier to get out in 4 pieces. then get u a flathead strew driver and tap each piece in word till they fall out. hope this helps man

That's interesting. You have the new style seal collar with the old style bushing. The new bushing has a helical cut groove inside and a slot in the edge for grease to circulate. To pull bushings I weld a 7/8 tap to a 3/4 X 10 long nut. I screw a long threaded rod into the nut, slide a piece of pipe on the threaded rod and put a nut on the end of the rod. Screw the tap into the old bushing and use this as a slide hammer . It removes bushings quickly with no chance of damage from the saw.

i removed and changed the bushing with no problem i put it all back together started filling up the shaft with grease upper seal leaking. Any tips on changing the upper seal.
