Hook one end to the inside slot on the lever, run the other end to the stock carb linkage . Get all your slack out so lever is idle at natural place. Make sure you add a spring to back of linkage, enough to snap your lever back to nuteral as you let off.

I understand that, but how do you hook it to the stock carb linkage? The one that came with it had like a metal piece on the end like you would see on a lawn mower. My new cable is pretty much just a cable inside the housing. The lever end has a "ball" on it that fits in the lever as it should.... hope this makes some kind of sence..

Gotcha, well hmmm I've seen the lead cylinder types at tractor supply. They have a pre drilled hole with a set screw on the bottom. You have to feed it thru then screw it down to hold cable secure. Probably work for you .

Either get the cable end like huck spoke of, or get out your soldering gun and make it. Bend the cable with pliers to fit the carb linkage, then use solder to stiffen the bends and end and thicken it just a bit.
