If i remeber correctly someone claimed to be running a 10x8 ron hill on a stock 31 LT and getting 31 mph, if so i tip my hat. I ran a new 10x8 ron hill yesterday on a 31LT with a Mikuni and exhaust and did not see the same results. It dropped my RPM's from 3900 to 2400 and topped out at 21mph. Whats the largest prop anyone hear of running on a longtail?

I just got a beavertail predator (75 hp), I'll see what that has on it but I imagine it's one heck of a wheel

I think the one I bought from Hill a couple years ago was a 10x6 surface drive prop. I put it on my 31gdlt and was running 44mph.

Yeah right, it knocked my rpms down to 2700'ish and i was running 18mph.

I gave the prop to my buddy who has a 35gdlt and a 16x44 gd boat. This weekend with him, his son and daughter(500#'s total), the 3 of them were running 20 on the gps. But rpms were only in the 3000 range and he said whenever they hit shallow water, the prop with dig and not give any push.

Sitting in the boat right now. Ran 28.1 on the way to the sandbar. I have a 4300 rev limiter and was easily running 4200 rpms. I'll have a load in the boat this weekend and will report back. Previous best speed with 3 guys in the boat was 22.
