I have a light modded 23lt and I am turning 3850 in water with a 9x7 running 22mph and turning a 9x6 4000 running 22mph....any ideas???? Am I topped out or can I get more? |

With those props I doubt you will get anything higher. You are probably running about 20-21 at 3600 and then that. I think you are at the top of the curve right now. |

So would getting someone such as Hopkins to tune up a prop to say 9x8 or 9x9 help any? |

Ok man, appreciate it. I did go run it again today and added some octane boost and got 3950 and bumped 23 a couple times with 2 of us in the boat...only reason I tried that was I was having a detonation/preignition problem and was trying the octane boost for that problem. |

What size boat is it on? Without doing more mods it sounds like you are about peaked out. What have you done to it? |

Woodie, it is on a 1652 riveted flat with frog spit on bottom. decked heads 15, bored 30 over, polished and 3 angle valve grind, 35 carb, twin exhaust, high flow s&b air filter. |
