What do y'all use for securing your longtails, when stored?
I have a cable lock that wraps around the frame of the longtail and connects to the boat. I'm afraid this might not last long and could be cut off with boltcutters. How much better would a steel chain work?
I just had my starting battery stolen out of the boat and am looking for some peace of mind against these thieves. I keep the boat outside behind my house. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: longtail security question
Landmines, bullets and attack dogs. Seriously, if they want it bad enough they will find a way to get it unfortunately.

Re: longtail security question
I would run a positive cable to one side of the boat and a negative to the other side. But discount all your wiring so you don't short out anything. This way when they come to your boat and touch the boat the boat would shock the sh&t out of the thieves. Don't think they would miss with it again after they get a shock that puts them on their &ss.
