 Mb lt questions
I aquired a 27 hp Kohler mudbuddy and have a question about the prop. I had a gd and know the prop on them are supposed to turn free a quarter inch or so but I'm new to mb and am wondering if the prop on mud buddy are threaded and do not turn free a quarter inch ?

 Re: Mb lt questions
I have a MB LT w/25 Kohler and I have done it both ways, 1/4 slack and tight. I can't see that it makes any difference either way.

 Re: Mb lt questions
GOTCHA mine is tight but I wanted to make sure it didn't need to be free . I don't want to prematurely wear parts out

 Re: Mb lt questions
On my 2004 MB 27 Kohler LT, there is just a bit of play on the prop. Make sure the locknut on the end is very tight. I suggest that you remove the prop a couple of times a year, clean the threads on the shaft and the prop, and apply anti-seize grease. This will minimize bad binding issues.

 Re: Mb lt questions
Ok so mud buddy's are like go devils and should have a little play ? Like I said if I turn my prop it turns my motor over its tight . It's got 100 hours on it and it's a 2006 model so it probably never been taken off and replaced
