ugggh, this poor white guy finally had enough coin to buy his first MM , placed order via phone on the 10th and here it is the 17th and the unit isn't even en route. And no idea when it will begin it's journey home.
Already called yesterday, jake said unit not shipped and would send me a tracking whenever it gets shipped and was busy on another line...
not trash talkin them, just frustrated n ready to finally have a motor on my POS tiny riveted boat..

Congrats on the purchase! Patience grasshopper. You'll have your motor soon enough. You just ordered in the middle of their busy season. Everyone and their brother is ordering a motor right now in preparation for duck season coming up. Let us know when it shows up and you get to run it!

Not trying to stir the shit. Sure it's a whole different deal. But I got my prop in 3 days

It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.

Herei am all mad bout shippin n the darn thing 'll prolly sink with all that weight lmao.
Then I'll be stuck like chuck sitting here counting pennies I find @ gas stations for a bigger hull....maybe I'll take this ship time ta look more into a new dog breed since the setter just passed.
I better stop while ahead. Thanks for a great site and all the info.

Hey Florida, never too late to get into duck hunting! I mean, when the fishing is bad, might as well shoot some ducks. Today is payday, I'm getting some premium brew for the teal opener tomorrow. Haven't seen too many ducks, but don't want to get rusty. Have fun with the swomp!

I ordered a 35 On Monday and jake said it would be 7 to 10 days. It's only been 7 for you, be patient. Jake said they had a lot of orders right now and that they keep motors and frames in stock but they assemble them per order. That's what the wait is.

I know how you feel I had to wait 3 weeks on mine last year and didn't get it until after the opener. Looking back, it was WELL worth the wait! Get it on the boat this year and start saving cash for a used custom hull for a year or 2 down the rd. I found mine in the classifieds here on MMT and it was some of the best money I could have spent. Keep patient.....but if you can't, have another beer  Enjoy

all of you buyin up big blocks, I couldn't go any bigger its already too much for rhe current hull. I had to stay with a SB
I didn't expect to see it shipped assembled, do I need to grease the unit or does it come greased? There wasnt any paperwork indicating either.never owned a MM and i'm happy with the quailty , its pretty stout and all the welds looked good.
Im just hoping the boat dont sink and I end up needing pods(band-aids) until I can save for a tad bigger hull..
I know a lock isnt gonna stop some determined scumbag, but how the heck can I try n lock this thing? Only way it looks like is to replace the 19mm pivot bolt with something else .

I asked Arlon about that the shaft is shipped greased on the 37 if you have any questions give them a call. I asked him several questions before I even placed the order and he answered everyone and then some.

I don't own a BackH20 but looking at the transom clamping bolts, I think you can put one of those rectangular box locks that slide over the bolt heads- might require a large washer or two. Additionally, I believe there are through bolt attachment holes on the transom plate to secure it. That would definitely be one deterrent. Anyway, I'd like to hear what BackH20 says about locking it, seeing as I intend to buy one in the next season or two.

FL Grown, this might not be the best theft detergent but it's how I've been doing it. I use a bike lock cable, wrap it around the out drive and lock it to my trailer frame. I don't think it'll prevent it from being stolen but it will slow down an amateur. Have fun with the new motor.

Ok I got what you were talking about for the plate, but really the easies and quickest way for a thief would. Bw 2 19MM'S. On the single pivot bolt. Im thinking maybe I could weld it so that way it's gotta be ground off to remove that single bolt.
No I know anything is just a deterrent, im just looking to discourage and slow them down.

One of these through the pivot and a bike lock through the frame is about all you can do. http://www.amazon.com/5-8-Locking-Hitch ... B001LQVP7O
A determined thief will get it even if they have to work at it, rather than work at earning it the right way. If you are leaving it out someplace, I'd recommend insuring the rig and getting a game cam set up in a way to capture faces and license plates. God have mercy on any thief I catch because I won't.
